Summer Vacation Employent
Barrington Partners offers Summer Vacation Employment to students having completed their 2nd year of an accounting degree that satisfies the entry requirements for the Institute of Chartered Accountants. The Vacation Employment Program is run December through February each year within the Institute of Chartered Accountants Vacation Employment Program guidelines. Applications for this are usually taken in August/September of each year. Talented participants may be offered part time work leading to full time work at the end of their study commitments.
"2+2" Program
In addition to our Summer Vacation Employment Program, Barrington Partners has a "2+2" employment opportunity. This program allows those who have completed two years of a relevant accounting degree to begin working at what would have been the start of their third year of university. Students would work on an "almost full time" basis while completing their final year of University part time over 2 years, ie 2 years full time + 2 years part time study.
This gives advantages to a student by:
- giving them real working experience;
- income before they finish their degree; and
- fast tracks them a year in comparison to students that finished their final year as a full time student.
